To stay online through the end of your trip, aim to top up (or install an overlapping plan) around 2026-11-01 — one day before this plan runs out. If your trip ends after this plan’s expiry, a longer validity plan usually makes sense.

Remember: always read the expiry rules on the specific plan before paying. Some plan validity starts from first use, others from purchase — the plan card states which.

2 Tips for long trips

For trips that outlast a single plan, the simplest approach is a plan whose validity covers the whole trip. If you prefer to top up, do it a day or two before expiry — not the covers the whole trip. If you prefer to top up, do it a day or two before expiry — not the night you need data.
